Kingdom Advancement Project

What is Kingdom Advancement Project?

The Kingdom Advancement Project (KAP) is WCC – AKA winners communities’ efforts to use our financial resources to advance the kingdom of God in the rural places of the world.

What Problem Is KAP Solving?

Most of the resources are tied up in the Urban areas and for most pastors that are serving in the rural areas, they often lack the resources to meet their basic needs like food, shelter and clothing for their families. So they end up having to travel 30-50 miles or more for a job to take care of their families, in some cases being gone for 5 days which leaves them with no time for their personal growth, families nor the time to reach and win souls for Christ.

What is the Vision for the KAP?

To support pastors and their ministries in the rural parts of the world and to help them establish self-sustaining economic methods for their ministries, which would allow them to focus on reaching souls for Christ.

What is the Mission for KAP?

To come into partnership with and be in support of local rural based pastors and their families in Africa, South America and South Asia for 6 months while helping them to set up  sustainable means of income to help them come out of poverty.

Why Rural places?

For every 10 churches started in Urban areas, 1 church is started in the rural areas, and in 5 years, 74% of the churches in rural areas end up closing due to lack of resources.

The leading cause why the pastors in rural areas quit, is simply to move out to urban areas for better opportunities to support their families.

With more pastors leaving for Urban areas, it leaves the people in urban areas unreached for Christ. Our Master’s great commission demands that this gospel is preached in every corner of the world. Our support would allow a local pastor to stay in that rural region to reach souls for Christ.

What do we see in scriptures regarding a cause like this?

Rom 15:26 For Macedonia and Achaia were pleased to make a contribution for the poor among the Lord’s people in Jerusalem.

Rom 8:14 Your abundance at the present time should supply their need, so that their abundance may supply your need, that there may be fairness.

We are in position like the Church in Macedonia and Achaia are in position to be a blessing to our brothers and sisters in rural areas of the developing world, taking from the abundance we have and leveraging the dollar we have to supply the needs of God’s people who are truly our brothers and sisters.

Remember in God’s agenda, he who goes and he who sends share alike in the reward.

Where do we start?

Our goal is 5 pastors at a time in different rural regions of the developing world.

2021 – Progress Report:

In India : We worked with New Life Ministries (newlifeindia.org), through Pastor Joseph and supported 5 Pastors financially  for 8months and gave them a seed capital to start a small businesses so they can support the ministry while staying on mission to preach the gospel.

In Uganda : We worked with Christ Prosperity Ministries (cpmafrica.org), through Pastor Philip and supported 5 Pastors financially for 8 months and set them up with seed capital to start small businesses so they can support their ministry while staying on mission to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ.

In Kenya : We were able to come alongside one Pastor with 4 months of financial support.
In Uganda: We able to help a pastor acquire a sound system to reach his village with the gospel.
In Uganda: We were able to send a one time gift to an orphanage that was in desperate need.

Therefore it’s our great privilege, that we as a church continue to be out-focused and  implement this effort to advance the kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
